Zonnepark Leek is located north of the A7 highway, near Leek and Tolbert. It was realized on land reserved by the municipality for the expansion of the Leeksterveld industrial estate. Almost 53,000 solar panels have been installed on the approximately 22-hectare site. The 28.6 MWp solar park supplies green energy to approximately 9,000 households. The landscaping takes the sightlines and existing landscape elements into account.
The solar park was commissioned in the fall of 2021.
