Senior Project Engineer

Do you want to be part of the energy transition and use your knowledge to make an important contribution to the development and realization of our solar parks? If so, the position of Senior Project Engineer at Chint Solar is made for you.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Execute the design and planning of multi-MW solar projects, including layout design, cable calculations, and electrical system design (low, medium, high voltage).
  • Coordinate between development teams, external service providers, authorities, and landowners, acting as the technical interface for all project-related matters.
  • Perform energy yield simulations and technical assessments to optimize project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with grid connection standards and prepare all necessary technical documentation.
  • Manage the approval process for detailed designs and drawings from third-party engineering firms.
  • Support a multidisciplinary project team, guiding junior engineers and ensuring successful project execution.
  • Support project management with technical coordination, time scheduling, and budget planning.

 

Your qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in the design and development of utility-scale solar projects.
  • Experience in construction. In order to apply and reflect this knowledge on the designs.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, PV case).
  • Strong knowledge of international and local technical standards (IEC, VDE) and grid connection requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
