Chint Solar started construction of Solar park Larendeel in the municipality of Druten, the Netherlands, in the summer of 2024. The project is 32 hectares in size and has an installed capacity of 38 MWp. The solar park can provide around 12,000 households with renewable energy.
At the solar park, there is plenty of room for nature development. Over 6 hectares have been laid out with wide grass strips with a flower and herb-rich grass mixture, pollard willows, natural banks and two amphibian pools. A hedge will also be placed on the south side to block the view of the solar panels from the built-up area. The design of the project was created with the involvement of local residents.
